Thor was working with the MyntGroup to design a new locale specific job and recruitment international search engine.

DITRI – Access Point Product delivery

The first version of the DITRI remote monitoring device has been successfully tested and delivered. This combines a year long global effort to produce this revolutionary remote monitoring product.

Computer Associates Expo - Melbourne

Mr. Essman and Mr. Brian Brannigan present a 60 min speech on "Identity and Access Management in the Enterprise" at CA Expo Melbourne on the 20th of February 2006.

Biography

Thor Essman is currently working for nabCapital, a division of the National Australia Bank, as Chief Technology Officer. Thor is originally from New York but currently lives in Melbourne, Australia with his wife Joan, and newborn daughter Selena.

Thor's career began in corporate finance and technology at the Chase Manhattan Bank. From there he moved on to senior leadership positions at Merrill Lynch and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jeanrette before moving into online strategy and development space. Working with companies such as EMI Music, Opus360 and Vettro, Thor was able to build a strong foundation and professional network in the e-Commerce and online sector.

In 2001, Thor invested in and co founded Adilon, a web application development and professional services company focusing on application, server and network management. Adilon developed, implemented and managed custom software and services to automate the consolidation and management of heterogeneous operating environments.

He joined the mobile communications industry in Sydney in 2003 and took a position with SingTel Optus as Manager of Web Applications. Thor would later become General Manager IT Shared Services responsible for all application development, integration, corporate systems (ERP/CRM/HR), data warehousing and network systems with 150 full time staff, 300 consultants and a $35M operating budget.

Since leaving Optus in 2006, he has become an independent entrepreneur starting, developing and selling companies in the technology and wireless communications industries. This included development of remote medical monitoring device capable of wireless data, audio and video monitoring

His involvements outside of work are public speaking, private investing, business plan analysis, dog training and inventing.
